HOW TO UPLOAD A BLOGGER TEMPLATE XML FILE {with photos}

 Blogger is one of Google's free Blogging platform amongst others, just like YouTube it's owned by Google. 


The beautiful part of using the blogger is how you can change the template to your preference. With good and easy customization menu. 

You can also choose to activate any of it plugins depending on what you need it for. You can also install HTML/ Java scripts  files to your blog.

To Activate your preference blogger template follow this steps.


1. Login to your blogger Admin  dashboard.


2. Scroll down to the menu title THEME.


3. When you open the theme you will see a CUSTOMIZE and a DROP DOWN page. Click on the drop down menu and a pop up will appear with two Menu BACKUP and UPLOAD.


  • BACKUP- it is always advisable to backup your contents before uploading a new template or theme to avoid loosing any of  your files during the upload process.

  • UPLOAD- when you click the upload Menu, a pop up window to your phone files manager will open for you to choose your downloaded template. Click on the theme you downloaded and it will install automatically.

For some blogger users with mobile devices, the above process doesn't usually work. It will require you to upload an XML File or txt widget.


HOW TO EXTRACT YOUR XML FILE


This process is very easy if you follow the steps correctly.

1. Download the template to your device and make sure the file is not corrupted. When you download the theme you want, it appears in a zip file format.



2. Make are you have the Google File Manager installed if you're using a mobile phone.


3. Open the Google File Manager and select the DOWNLOAD page. All the files you downloaded will appear, then click the file you want to extract.


4. Click on the template you want to extract and all the folders of the theme will appear. 


After extraction you will see an XML FILE of the template, go back to your blogger dashboard and follow the previous steps.


5. Click on the extracted xml file from your blogger dashboard and upload it. Now you can start customizing your awesome template.
